State Historical Records Advisory Board member LaVera Rose, and Miguel Penaranda and Jeff Sampson, South Dakota State Library, developed the poster.

Fr. Jerome Hunt, OSB (1849-1923), who came to Dakota Territory from the monastery of St. Meinrad in Indiana in 1877. He served on both the Standing Rock and Fort Totten reservations until his death. As master of the Dakota/Lakota languages, he founded Eyanpaha (The Crier) and published a Dakota prayerbook.
