Fort Lookout

Fort Lookout was located in Lyman County north of Chamberlain in about 1822 by the French Fur Company.

            Letter, 1856. This collection contains one letter from Capt. Lyon to Adjutant General Samuel Cooper regarding the founding of Fort Lookout, Nebraska Territory in 1856. The letter includes extracts from orders and a map.
