The Museum of the South Dakota State Historical Society has 15,000 square ft. of exhibition space located in the Cultural Heritage Center. The exhibits are divided into the following five galleries:

The Sioux way of life - kinship and values as directions for daily living.

Proving Up

The experiences of immigrants to a remote territory - how they interacted with native peoples and developed a booming state.

Changing Times South Dakota in the

The challenges and successes South Dakotans experienced in the 1900s.
