ACTIVITIES |
The commission’s
mission is public education on historic preservation. The commission conducts
tours of Aberdeen Historic ‘Districts, sponsors public workshops on historic
preservation themes, assists in securing historic markers and plaques for
noteworthy sites in Brown County and recognizes significant maintenance and
preservation work by property owners.
Commission members have
produced several public relations pieces. These include: Centennial Village
brochure (1980, revised 1996, 2002) by Art Buntin; “A Souvenir of Aberdeen”
(1907) reprinted n 1992 with a preface & commentary by Don Artz. Easton Castle
