Mission Statement:  The Adams Museum and House is a private non-profit educational complex dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the history and material culture of the Black Hills.
Adams Museum:  Three floors of entertaining and educational exhibits introduce guests to the colorful legends of Deadwood and the natural history of the Black Hills.  Discover a rare one-of-a-kind plesiosaur, the mysterious Thoen Stone, and impressive collections of paintings, guns, photographs, minerals, and Native American artifacts.  New for 2004:  exhibits featuring the real characters and people portrayed on the new HBO series “Deadwood” and “Reality and Romance:  The Women of the Black Hills.”
Adams House:  Take a walk back through time at the 1892 Queen Anne-style mansion.  Left untouched for 50 years, leading experts in historic preservation have restored the home to its original grandeur.  Guided tours recount the tragedies and triumphs of two of Deadwood’s early pioneer families.
