ACTIVITIES
|
Purpose is to collect, preserve, exhibit and publish material for the study of history, particularly the history of Dell Rapids and adjacent areas; to acquire documents, letters, reports, newspapers, books, pictures, and relics pertaining to the area; and to obtain narratives of pioneers. These articles should be an educational medium, and reflect the founding, growth and future of the community.
The major activity is a Christmas Tree Festival and Auction held the last
weekend in November and the first weekend in December. Newsletter "Heritage
Journal" is published quarterly. |
