Purpose is to preserve traces of pioneer life in the McPherson County area. Currently in the Art Room, there is a wildlife display of stuffed animals familiar to the area.
Museum projects for 1998 included Dr. Russ Stubbles of SDSU speaking at the annual meeting in June about historic wooden elevators in the state. The museum also had several entries in the Schmeckfest Parade during Appreciation Week. An old-fashioned Christmas was at the museum in October.
A recent acquisition is a 2-seater buggy.
