ACTIVITIES

 

The Society’s mission is to collect and preserve artifacts, written histories,

and archival of county records a well as preserving historic buildings and

creating public interest in our county’s history.

The Society operates the Grant County Historical Museum (old Carnegie Library), Historical House and County School in Milbank as well as the

Agricultural and Tractor Museums in Stockholm. Also the Brown Earth Indian Church at Stockholm and Troy Stagecoach House. The museums in Milbank
and Stockholm are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 2 – 5 p.m. or by appointment.

 

School and group tours are welcome (scheduled in advance).

 

Donations are appreciated.

Research assistance is available.
