The group is comprised of people from several counties in northwestern South Dakota, southwestern North Dakota and northeastern Montana who are interested in the rich historical heritage of that area.
Each year in the early fall the group organizes a tour of some historical corner in their area. A tour of the Slim Buttes is scheduled for Sept. 8 this year.
The association also helps with local history and genealogy questions in conjunction with the Buffalo Museum.
