Old Courthouse Museum

This history museum is open all year. The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 12 to 5 p.m. Sundays; closed major holidays. There is no admission fee. Special features include regional and local history, Sioux Falls and Minnehaha county history; the county courthouse building was constructed in 1890.

Pettigrew Home and Museum

This historic house and history museum, constructed in 1889, is open all year. The hours in the winter are 12 to 5 p.m. daily; in the summer 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Monday through Saturday; until 9 p.m. Thursday, and 12 to 5 p.m. Sundays; closed major holidays. The facility features regional and local history, American Indian materials, and U.S. Sen. Richard F. Pettigrew memorabilia.
