Regular hours returning to Cultural Heritage Center

PIERRE, S.D. – Regular public hours will return to the museum in the South Dakota Cultural Heritage Center the day after Labor Day. 

The museum will be open from 1-4:30 p.m. for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, the hours will be 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-4:30 p.m. Sundays and most holidays. The Cultural Heritage Center is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Easter. Through Saturday, Aug. 30, museum hours are 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

The State Archives in the center is closed Labor Day. Archives hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and the first Saturday of each month, so it will be open Saturday, Sept. 6.
