Join us today!  The South Dakota State Historical Society is the keeper of the state’s rich history.  The State Historical Society collects, preserves, researches, and interprets the state’s exceptional past.  Your membership in the Heritage Circle helps the Society to use its vast collection and resources to bring history to life through education kits, exhibits, programs, publications, and much more.

Different levels of membership make it easy for you to join and support the work of the State Historical Society.  By becoming a Heritage Circle member, you will not only receive the benefits of membership in the South Dakota State Historical Society but will be making an annual contribution to the South Dakota Heritage Fund, the Society’s nonprofit partner.  Through your contribution, you will assist us in furthering our outreach of South Dakota history.  We invite you to join others who share your passion for the heritage and history of South Dakota.

Heritage Circle Membership Levels:

All Heritage Circle members  receive:

• An annual tax deductible contribution to support the preservation of South Dakota history
• Free admission to the Cultural Heritage Center for members and all guests visiting with members.

• Complimentary membership in the South Dakota State Historical Society including a subscription to South Dakota History, the award-winning journal of SDSHS.

Diamond (Annual gift of $2500 or more)

v      Additional benefits include Sterling Silver Horse Effigy Pin (initial year), Framed 20X204 print of one of South Dakota historic sites photography collection (a new print selected annually), Inclusion of your family or business history of the SDSHS website, recognition plaque, “History of South Dakota” book published by the SD Historical press (initial year) and “book of the year for subsequent years, a 5x7 historical photos from the photo collection of SDSHS and a SDSHS decal.

Platinum (Annual gift of $1000-$2499)

Gold (Annual gift of $500-$999)
